Food security and availability of staple foods
at affordable prices has been STO’s
responsibility since its inception in 1964. As
such Peoples Choice Staple Foods which deals
with rice, flour and sugar, plays an important
role in STOs business ensuring that these items
are made available to consumers at reasonable
prices while still maintaining a high quality.
These products being a key responsibility of STO
is stored in purpose built, high quality
warehouses with a storage capacity of 9000 tons.
Special needs of fumigation of these warehouses
are also available at these locations to
minimize the presence of insects and other
pests.
To ensure that food resources are made
available to the Island populations STO has
arranged special Credit Facilities to business
establishments in the islands.
To ensure that the highest quality product
and the most affordable prices is made available
to consumers STO pays great attention to buying
high quality staple food item at reasonable
