State Trading
Organization Plc (STO) is today a public
limited company with over 90% shares of the Maldivian
government and falls under the auspices of the
Ministry of Economic Development & Trade.
Mr. Farooq Umar is the Chairman for STO. The organization is structured
upon a functional design, with a dynamic team of
executives heading the various departments under
the guidance of the Managing Director Mr. Shahid
Ali and the direction of the
Board of Directors.
